LA PICCOLA REGINA (English edition)

Clarifying Note

“La Piccola Regina” is a historical novel, born of my fascination with the Médici lineage and the echoes of their greatness during the Renaissance.

Florence and Paris bore witness to my steps, as I wandered their streets and palaces in search of fragments of truth to bring this work to life.

Its protagonist is Catherine de Médici, Queen of France, the last direct flame of Lorenzo the Magnificent’s bloodline. The narrative opens in 1610, but its pages travel back to Catherine’s birth, following her life from 1519 until her death in 1589, amid court intrigues and the quiet weight of power.

The Médici were a beacon of art and culture in Italy, guardians of eternal geniuses: Michelangelo, Donatello, Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Cellini… and even Galileo Galilei.

As so often happens in history, truth blends with myth and legend. After the scrutiny of several artificial intelligence search engines, it was revealed that 84% of what is told breathes pure historical accuracy, while 16% soars with the poetic license that gives the events the soul of a novel.

I wish that those who enjoy grand series and historical tales may immerse themselves in this journey, finding in La Piccola Regina not only history, but also emotion and memory.

The book will come to light tomorrow, August 25, and with it my gratitude to all who have embraced my words, for there is no higher reward than the reader who makes a story their own.

A warm embrace, and may the shadow of premature death that haunted Catherine de Médici never touch your days…
